Bio
Andrew Veloso Watkinson (2000, Canada) has mixed feelings about dying (pictured below). Fascinated by the histories and possibilities of rejecting and accepting death, they explore what it might look like to reach beyond the grave, what it may mean to live forever, and how it feels to mourn before losing.
Their colourful world of questions often manifests as ceramics, drawings, textiles and digital works made as diagrams for speculation or props for rituals. Their ritualization in and of life allows Andrew V.W. to explore the complex feelings around death while creating objects that both inform and extend their existence.
